Vortec vs TBI - Stupid Questions, need answers please :)

North Carolina is a wee bit too far but I appreciate the offer. I've got an engine coming in to that shop from Car-Part. I paid more than I wanted to pay considering the mileage of that engine, 169k, but I justified it by saying to myself, "A truck on the road is better than a truck sitting in the driveway."

I'm using a 98 Vortec long block which I rebuilt in my sons 94 Z71. I used a Performer intake for the Vortec heads and a trans adaptor for the TBI off a 7.4L engine which I think its flows 600cfm I hope to have it running by next month.

Cool. Please post back when you get it going, interested to see how it runs. I'll be going with another TBI motor based on what that shop said but the information will still be good to anyone else thinking of going this route.
