4.3 vortec running tbi

Hi, I have a 94K1500 w/t 4.3, nv4500. Thinking of swapping in 4.3 vortec when the current engine gets tired. I would like to just swap the tbi onto the vortec engine. I know I need a different manifold, but aside from that will the distributor and accessories bolt in the vortec engine?

I don't know why they wouldn't.

I'd also expect all the same problems as folks swapping Vortec V8 long-blocks into TBI V8 vehicles.

Hi, not a bad plan. You will be happy to learn that the TBI intake manifold will bolt onto the vortec engine. I use blackbear for my tuning needs. The TBI and vortec heads both have the same modified Center bolt angles vs the old style sbc engines.
