Tune Question

I just sold my superchips flashpaq and now im wantin to get a tune from either blackbear or nelson. im just planning on doing the traditional tune and was wondering if the crank relearn necessary if i use the computer they send me. i have a buddy that didnt do his and his truck runs fine, but from what little ive seen, you are suppose to do it.

If you have them tune a different computer then what came with your engine from the factory and then you use it then yes, there's a 99.9999% chance you're gonna have to do the crank relearn process. It's all gotta do with how the computer reads the information it's given, your buddy probably got one that was really close to his factory unit and so it's so far so good...kind of a rarity though from what I can see.
