I'm gonna second cleaning the MAF. Mine will do something similar when it gets dirty, it also seems to cause an intermittent starting issue. Once I clean it fixes it for a while but it always seems to come back. Still give it a shot, never know it can't hurt anyway.

Did cleaning of MAF when I had cheap distributor parts on causing misfire problems. Good quality ACDelco rotor and cap fixed it. Was about 6 months ago. Could this issue be creeping back up again? I don't think so because back then it did it at all speeds, hwy and during acceleration.

I will try cleaning the MAF again with proper electronic cleaner and see if I can find a vacuum leak anywhere. I might try looking at the rotor and cap again to see if any burn marks are there.

Keep throwing in ideas on what else to check.
