David has/had a similar one on his stepside IIRC.

Mine is the same style but had the side window option as well. I've also seen them with smaller windows in the "wings". This style of canopy has HUGE blind spots through the back window.

And here is mine. It's original to the truck from 1988, Leer Knight. Grandfather bought it and had it painted to match. It's a pretty decent canopy, I dislike the looks of it but it is very practical in the winter months for hunting/camping. Keeps things dry, a good place for the dog to ride, etc.

I love caps! Every truck I have owned except my avalanche had one if nothing else, for winter. Adds weight, stores lots of gear relatively securely.

My current one- working on paint, and figuring out how it attaches...

Im running a soft topper. Had this on my 05 GMC Sierra, transferred it over to the K1500 when I got it. I love it. It doesn't leak when it rains, keeps everything dry. I can put the top up when I want to hide my gear and/or camp inside the bed. Then I can put it down for normal use and when I wanna fill the bed with large items or mountain bikes, etc. I have put it up and down countless times and it's been bombproof the whole time. It works great for me, really love it.

If they weren't so expensive, I'd have one

Thinking about dipping it and putting it on. Or a regular less grandpa one.

My $100 topper… Bought it for winter mode, just to keep the bed useful in the snowy months…
