i have 96 parts donor truck can i put its 4l80e into my 98 to replace its 4l80e?

Not without different cooler lines, they changed the port locations in the case after '96.

well i think the cooler lines would be an easy mod so other than that it should work?

As long as both trucks are the same drive setup (2WD or 4WD) then I don't see why not.

yes both arev regular cab 4wd thanks the reason i was asking is because on the when looking it list 97-99 but this is good info
