Evening everyone. Need help finding a filter for my 99 tahoe 4L60E, 16 bolt, deep pan. The filter neck is 3 5/8 long. Filter I have in there appears to be oe. I cannot seem to find a filter similar to this. Did this filter get superseded? Found filters that say fit but don't look similar. Anyone else have issues finding a filter? Thanks in advance..

That filter will work but it's basically the early shallow pan filter with extension flanges to make it work with the later deep pans.

If you dont want to use it, just buy the standard all-black deep pan filter.

Thanks, however this is my old filter. So your saying a standard deep pan filter will work?

@BPizzle - that is the correct filter. Just dont install a rubber gasket as they leak. A regular composite gasket will work fine.
I wouldn’t use that type either Nick, but I do like this one. It’s metal inside with vulcanized rubber exterior. Really well made, and I’ve had zero leaks.

Yep, those are good to go, reusable as they are bonded metal with a rubber supersheath and dont leak.

Those cheap rubber-only filters sold at local auto parts stores like Autozone should be avoided like the plaugue.
