Torsion cranking

Without getting into a piss out match, can I get enough lift out of the front of my truck without a lift kit? I need to take the droop out of my GMC 1500 with the plow on it. I measured before and after and there is a 1.5" difference. Should I look into a 1-3" leveling kit with the indexed keys for the torsion?? Thanks in advance

I would tend to think you likely could get the 1.5" back via crank but whether or not your 1/2 ton bars are stiff enough or your keys indexed enough is something that's best figured out by giving it a shot. I'd swap to 3/4 ton torsion bars before buying one of those "leveling kits" though.

crank the bars up some and load some ballast weight in the bed and you'll be fine
