this may be dumb but 4l60E in 1992

Most articles online say the 4l60E was introduced in 1993-xxxxx

My question is, are there some 1992 GMC Sierra there have the 4L60E and not the 700r4/4L60??

My truck is a 92, here is a picture of the transmission I pulled. Which coincidentally is made in Toledo, which is the same place they make the 4 l60e. I don't know how to read the code

Alright I answered my own question. Although it was made in Toledo, I do have a 700 R4. I guess the 4 pin connector is a dead give-away

I know this is a older post, but I read a classified yesterday for a 1992 that claimed to have a factory 4L60E and I was wondering the same thing on that subject.. It was a ad on CL Cars & Trucks.

This exactly. My truck is a 4.8 v6 according to the PO
