Here are some pics of my never-ending project. It is a '98 Z71 with the 350 and I love the thing to pieces!
The first picture is what my truck looked like the day that I picked it up.
The second pic is what it looked like after a little work- ditching the topper for starters.
The third picture is what I currently have.
The fourth picture is what it looks like next to a stock truck (the chevy is sitting on 265's)
So far, I have put on a chrome brush gaurd, put in a tool box (which I use quite a bit), ran true dual exhaust out the back, put on glasspacks and stainless steel tips, put on a 3" body lift and bumper relocator, moved up to A/T II 285/75/16 tires, two 4' whips and Cobra CB radio, and K & N Filter.
Currently has 132,000 miles and still pulls around 14 mpg with a moderate amount of lead-footing. If I really hammer down a lot, it drops to 13 some, and that is with a good amount of city driving. It used to give me about 16 until I put on the lift and tires.
Soon to come updates are going to be headers and a cam swap.
