What r thoughts on a 454 tbi mounted on a carb set up 4.8l ls? Just thought on fuel for brain and 454 tbi figure have enough cfm to support a 327ci?

Why wouldnt you use the injection system the 4.8 uses?

i already have carb 4.8ls was going install a fast efi kit on top but out of budget .started reading and thinking a 454 tbi should flow the numbers and be efficent.. this is justa temp thing just have find manifold ecm and harnis i can afford.

a TBI for a 350 with 350 injectors will do just fine, unless you're making crazy power.

You'll never make crazy power with a tbi system, they have their limits and it doesn't take much to meet them

With proper knowledge and proper equipment 400HP is no issue

see truck has 350 tbi , i have a 454 tbi in shop and have seen 454 around 400hp to 450hp , my ls is a 4.8 with little head work and texas speed cam, msd igntion controller , an can buy 4 barrel to tbi plate cheap just thinking somthing last me threw xmas and can start building up to ls efi swap , but dont wanna install and run decent 4.8 hoping 380 to 400 hp and be slower than my 350 with 300hp , or damage ls motor , from what ive read to go to 454 carb just swap ecm or can burn chip.

Well if you have a 454 TBI unit already then by all mean use it! No issues and you will need an adjustable fuel pressure regulator for sure. You won't damage anything, she will run with the timing right and enough fuel psi, I would start at 15 psi
