ive seen a few but a 6.5 is about as useless as a bullet with no gun
slap a 12v or an 01-02 24v in er and we will talk lol
I disagree. While the 6.5L isn't anywhere near as powerful as any of the newer diesels or a cummins, it will hold it's own ground. I love my 99 6.5L, gets good fuel economy and pulls my trailer just fine.

I agree, the 6.5 TD in my 96 is the lightweight class, it'll leave any stock gasser OBS in the dust and gets better mpg than any also. Using it as a work truck is just wasted potential....one day I do plan on converting the 6.6 TD in my garage to a gasser tho, the conversion kits are getting hard to find, so I wanna do it while the kits are still available. Don't ask what I'll do with it afterwards, I'm an engine builder, we redo engines just for the fun of it. haha
