I have an 89 sport with the factory motor (350) missing.. Truck is wired for the factory TBI.. What all would have to be done to install an 78-80 chevy 454?
Could i remove the factory fuel pump and use the same fuel line to the 454s mechanical fuel pump?
Would the ignition system be usable for the older 454?
Would the 350s trans. bolt up to the 454?
Do i ditch or keep the 350s computer? Idunno if without a tbi and fuel pump it does anything else..lol
And id have to run mechanical guages wouldnt i?
I have a family member that has an either 78 or 80 motor home with a great running 454 in it, but if its to much work to use that motor its probably not worth it over trien to find a TBI 350. Idunno, any and all help would mean a lot
