I’ve used Blue top a couple of times now, I’ve had good luck with their gear boxes. One nice thing they do is, replace plain bearing/ bushing with roller bearings. Fast turn time too.

I’ve never had good luck with over the counter, or lares etc. they are usually overly tight out of the box, and loosen off quickly.

Looks like I'm in the market (again) for a box- looking at a new Borgeson unit for my '89. The original box with my suspension was excellent.... until it was not, had Tom Lee build a box which was even better until it started leaking out the top (should have fixed this one myself), with the new owners the warranty was a hassle and the replacement box not near as good as the original left it that way ever since- problem is........you remember how good it was.

I know this is old but I couldn't find where I was talking highly of the Borgeson box...
Over the last couple of weeks I've noticed play getting worse in my steering. Finally peeked a little today because I noticed some wobble/bubble in the tire feel when I was on the highway over 60mph today and wanted to look over things....and the play looks like it's coming from the box? Not sure about wobble yet....
With truck running I can turn the steering shaft>box splined gear by hand a good bit either way before it engages the pitman arm. Steering is super responsive when it does but, I'm not sure why it has the play. It's probably a year and a half old....
