I figured I'd have to do some modifications,to make it fit. I'm glad u brought up the ls. I got a 6.0 I'm going to carb, with msd box I'ma set it like I would for my demolition derby. And thinking bout a 4 speed possibly. So I'm glad u brought up the speedometer, very useful to know

FWIU your LS VSS is 4000 PPM instead of 2000 PPM in a GMT400.
As long as you're running a cluster from a truck that required the external DRAC (92+), that's fine. I have a 94 Suburban cluster in my 97 with an 0411 PCM, factory L31 350/NV3500, it works perfectly.

With an LS PCM it's possible to tune the input for a 2k or 4k VSS reluctor, so assuming he doesn't replace the transmission with the engine, things should still work out okay.

Thanks for that info. That just took some worry away from my swap. Sorry for hijacking the OP's thread.

I did a swap from " moonies to needles " on my 1991 K2500. The needles cluster came out of a 1991 SS and I didn't have to change a thing. Check out that thread, lot's of info.
