IDK how that worked. Is it plastic? I thought it was something tougher than that.so what is the deal with the plastic vs metal plate thing did you have to order it or a year by year thing or a special package or some thing
I know the Z71 package on the K1500 said "metal skid plates" or "aluminum skid plates" (I can't remember) in the literature back then. Maybe other 4X4 trucks had the front plastic skid plate????? I didn't even know plastic was even a thing for the front skid plate.so what is the deal with the plastic vs metal plate thing did you have to order it or a year by year thing or a special package or some thing
I could see it being that way it sounds believable to meI know the Z71 package on the K1500 said "metal skid plates" in the literature back then. Maybe other 4X4 trucks had the front plastic skid plate????? I didn't even know plastic was even a thing for the front skid plate.
I've only had two Z71s and both were '94 with aluminum. But, that makes my sample size pretty small too. This topic came up a not too long ago and I’m pretty sure a few with Z71’s said they had the “plastic” shield.
Yeah I seem to remember quite a few with Z71’s saying that.I've only had two Z71s and both were '94 with aluminum. But, that makes my sample size pretty small too.
