Hey guys, so I was driving today and when I push on the brakes the ABS kicks in and it was much harder to stop. I have read a couple threads about this problem but never got a clear answer. What can I do to prevent this? Or to stop it altogether. The wheels didn't lock up at all I was on dry pavement.
Anyway to stop that without replacing the whole brake system?

thanks

Check your brake fluid level, mine did that when my fluid got down to right at the "min" line once

i had this issue on my 97 and my girlfriends 99 and it was the sensors on the front hubs at lows speeds like pulling in a parking space it would kick in thinking it was going faster

If you don't have the time nor the money right now pull the ABS fuse. Mine did exactly what Scott referred to; at low speeds, but it also did it infrequently at higher speeds as well. Pulled the fuse and it does't do it. 99% sure mine is the speed sensor in the hub.
