I was decoding my rpo's and one came back as a rear bumper delete? Also shows my bed was once stepside. But this bumper delete thing confused me. Any insight?

Probably had to do with the stepside bed having a different bumper. The proper bumper was maybe covered in the stepside option?

As far as I know it just removes the bumper and gives you a bracket mounted to the bottom of the bed for the license plate. Me and my dad built a 78 that had that factory

They offer that because a lot of farmers use DMI style bumpers.

That was an option when I ordered my 97, you could also get molding delete which was cool.
