Im looking into putting a modern bumper on my truck I have made a few edits with half ton bumpers and 3/4 and 1 ton bumpers from a 2016 body style the bumpers are a bit wider and I think would have to cut some material out of the middle and weld it back together but if done right I think would look deadly. I haven’t seen it done but I want to and I hope this inspires others.

Personal opinion here, I don't like those 2021 bumpers because they have "steps" on the topside. The older ones have a smoother appearane because they "line up" with the grill. No cut-outs between grill and bumper.
Still, whatever you decide, I support, because it's different!
On a big jacked up truck, those steps would be great. My 08 megacab has one big one, believe me, I need it.

When I made my front bumper I designed steps on each side as it is the only way to get up and down when working on the engine, especially when you don't have the benefit of a step ladder like when on the side of the road.
