Don't know if this would go here or not.
But has anyone attempted to make the back glass roll down like on some of the newer model trucks and the same with the extended windows?

Been done but couldn't tell you the specifics. Over on duallyscene there was a guy that did GMT400 roll-down extended cab windows; it's a lot of work without doubt. Roll-down rear glass was offered aftermarket for squarebodies, not sure if it ever existed for GMT400, but I do seem to recall someone grafting in an assembly from a different application. May have been that same truck on duallyscene...it's been years.

CR Laurence makes (made?) a power sliding rear glass for GMT400; it was just the middle pane and slid sideways like traditional rear sliders. Not bad for some airflow; I had one on my old white '92 C1500. It worked OK for a while but got sluggish with time as the glass started digging into the weatherstrip.
