Has anyone ever built a cage inside the cab? Rough estimate of feet needed for a reg. cab? What size of tubing?
I wont be building it yet, but I will take pictures when I do

Ive worked with and on rally cars and they use about 3" tubing all around. Maybe smaller for some cars but 3 is a good size to go with. Not sure how much tubing but should be quite a bit for a good cage

I run full size derby cars, I generally use 2 1/2 inch square tubing, 1/4 thick, 24 ft is enough to do a typical 4 point cage in a 4 door car, add 12 ft if you want a roll over bar

I have pics if you'd want to see some

Will be fine with 1.75"-2" DOM tubing for the main structure and can do 1.5" for all the triangulation. And I would say anywhere from 100'-150' of tubing depending how much triangulation you run.

I want to say I have about 150' of 2" in my extra cab.
