can anyone post pictures of their rear window seal? like the seal that goes around the outside?

on my new to me 98, the previous owner used some gasket maker or something and plastered it all around the window. well, when i closed my doors, it would cause the rear window to pop out. so i brought it to a local glass place and they fixed it. so it is sealed and doesn't pop out anymore when i close the doors. but looking from the outside it looks like it is missing a seal that goes around the window. it doesn't leak now. but i just want it to look better.

A picture is worth a thousands words, that being said there's some questionable aftermarket windows out there, most OEM glass doesn't have a gasket of any sort around the glass perimeter so you actually see down into the window channel with it installed.

ok i finally got pictures......this is the back glass looking at the cab from the bed.

the glass shop did fix my problem. so now the window does not pop out when closing the doors. and it does not leak when it rains or when i washed the truck.

so what happens here is the replacement urethane is thicker than factory and it leaves a non flush condition. if it a problem? well if its adhering to the metal correctly and has enough wet out then no its fine it just look unnapealing. to add to it all it looks like the previous owner did a real number back there and even with the glass company cleaning everything up youd have to get into some body work cleanup to really criticize their reseal.

gotcha. thanks. yeah. it seemed to seal great. no water or anything inside (it's rained and i washed it once). this isn't a show truck, so i guess i will live with the cosmetics.
