ok guys i have a 95 z71 and i am restoring it at the moment and when i tore it all down i replaced my brake lines through the intire truck.i havent roughted the rear brake lines yet i was wondering if the rear brakes actually do anything in stopping power because when i put my new rear gears in it i had the back tires in the air and put it in drive to turn the oil in the rearend.but when i pressed the brakes the back tires kept going? were my pads just wore out? what would be my best option? reinstall the rears or leave em out?

rear brakes do 25% of the braking (if there adjusted up) They help with the pedal feel also.
I always adjust mine till I can barely get the drum on. Makes for good pedal and great stopping power.
