Welcome to Project Mayhem
AKA The Mayhem Truck

Our company name is Mayhem Motors and we are located in Garden Grove, Ca
We specialize from anything automotive from regular service and repair all the way to frame up custom builds. We work with the off road community also the custom street and drag racing world

We are currently building our company prerunner.

The Mayhem Truck came to life as a stock 90 Chevy c1500 Silverado ex cab originally with a 5.7 350 small block
when it was torn down the first time to be a turned into a prerunner it was originally built by No Shift Motorsports
Then Kane, owner of Shrader clothing bought it, named it the Shrader Truck or Shrader Prerunner.
Then us over here at Mayhem Motors picked it up to redesign it as a race truck also for a sand truck to have fun in the dunes with. Mostly to be ran in the Imperial sand dunes AKA Glamis.

Since we bought it in September 2013 we have taken out the small block 350 and installed a full forged race built 468 stroker big block running a full roller set up that drinks pure race fuel with a compression ratio of 13:1. We had a TH400 race trans built to match the torque and horsepower of the big block.

We are now currently in the redesign process of the truck, removing all the old suspension and installing all new coil overs and fabricating the front of the frame to clear and accept a 3 tube pure race series 2.5 King bypass shock with remote reservoirs along with a Velocity long travel kit that will utilize over 18 inches of travel. The engine cage with be built with 2" DOM .120 wall thickness and will have Kings 2.5" bumps integrated into the fabrication of the engine cage to bump the suspension.

After we complete that portion of the project, we will removing the Deaver leaf springs and shackles in the rear along with the stock 10 bolt in exchange of a semi floater 9 inch rear end fully trussed with 35 spline 300m axles with a 5.13 spool gearing set up with wilwood calipers and rotors. We will be hooking it up to a 4 link set up with 14 inch dual rate coilovers and 16" King bypass shocks. We are hoping to get at least 30 inches of full travel in the rear when complete.

And the last part of the build we will redesign the cab cage with 2" DOM tubing along with a custom dash and all the electronics that most race trucks utilize.

The pics I will be uploading are from when No Shift Motorsports owned the truck through the time Shrader clothing had it up till today.

Follow along for what we hope to be is a very rewarding off road truck build in the end!

Thanks for viewing!

This is what the truck looked like when No Shift Motorsports had the truck.....
Had a CST ball joint long travel kit with 8" King Coilovers with only 11" of travel (Don't know how this truck lasted with out destroying something with a suspension kit like that but somehow it survived the years of abuse...

When Shrader Clothing Company bought the truck they painted it black, had all the tires replaced with 35 inch general grabber red labels, added a trans cooler in the rear, also they installed some LED 4 pack light cubes in the front, along with putting on their company logo on the side of the truck....

This is when we purchased the truck. When we got the truck the motor was blown up. Someone used an old timing change during the first engine rebuild and it jumped time, caused all kinds of problems. After we rebuilt the engine again we decided to remove all the TBI fuel delivery junk, also tore out all the wiring and computers to run a simple wire set up, and installed a carburetor.

When we got it running again, we had some fun with it in Glamis a couple times, but it obviously did not meet our expectations so we decided to start the tear down and re do all the issues which was pretty much the whole truck...
