You need some deer whistles. I've never used them, but many people have told me they work. If the deer get any worse around here I'll probably invest in a set.

We put those on all our square body Burbs and my Dodge Intrepid. Going to Austin before Christmas one year in our Buick Estate Wagon, hit a deer near Giddings, at night. Tore up the "fiberglass" header panel and grille, took forever to find one because the wagons were different than the sedans.

Out here everyone runs a brush/cattle guard, ol farmer telling me I need to put one on mine. I just take things a lot more slower and carefully after dusk. Used to get trucks in the autobody shop years ago after they hit something, and usually the bars would shift at the mounting points, and either mangle the frame horns, or get pushed into body panels, that wouldn't have taken damage otherwise. I'm not saying they are a bad idea, just my experiences with them.

Enough babbling from me, thought I'd toss last weekends pic in here, hoping to get some work done this weekend, and have it moving under its own power. Was someones parts truck that had been sitting in a field for a lot of years. 6.0 swap, 5.38 gears, G80 in the rear. Just kind of a fun pic, Doggo had to get in the shot.
