New member here. I was unable to find the search so I'll just ask the question.
Yesterday I was driving home, 40 degrees out. I had the heat off in the truck and was cruising about 45-50 mph. I looked at my gauges and my temp gauge was climbing pretty steady. It maxed out and the "check gauges" light came on. I turned the heat on and the gauge dropped pretty quickly. I got home and nothing was overflowing, steaming ,etc.
What could cause this?
Truck is a 1990 K1500 350/5 speed Project truck that I bought to drive thru the winter.
