NV3500 Transmission

Gentlemen

I have a 93' 1500 with an NV3500 tranny. The VIN of the truck shows it originally came with the 4.3 V6 but when I bought the truck I believe it came with the 305. What possible engine options are available to bolt up to the transmission without adaptors and such?

Pretty much any gm big block and small blocks

X2. NV3500s from what I've read and based on experience can handle a decent amount of abuse, but I wouldn't use it for anything more than stock big block power.
