Newbie here, just got a 99 K2500, rescued it, poor previous tried to do a swap from a 7.4 to a LM7. He got took advantage of, it appears to be happening all over! Shame, but anyways I've got it inventoried, ordered a bunch of parts today, gotta order more. A lot of lost parts/hardware, gonna have to pull the engine back up cause the work done is suspect. They got dingo mounts, but weren't bright enough to slide them in position to mount trany to block, its hanging with one bolt half through a mount! They put a holley sump, new oil pump, timing set on it, but I'd rather have the OE sump, it holds more oil. So I'll pull it up with my new valley lift plate, make sure the pump gear is right, etc, don't trust anything done so far. I got a DBC throttle body cause I want to keep my existing cruise setup. Got a 1500 Silverado cable ordered, Any help and advice is sought and appreciated. This is my first LM7 swap so batten down the hatches!

More pictures, more coming. This is your brain on drugs!

Welcome from Alberta Canada.
Sounds like a bit of work ahead of you. But you have the right idea to undo as much "suspect" work as possible.
Good luck and keep us posted, especially with pics. Lots of big brains on this site.

Today ordered the diff cover, gasket, bolts, throttle bracket, harmonic balancer, cylinder head dowels, oil/coolant sender adapters, torque converter bolts, bell housing bolts, head bolts, gaskets, a new front crank seal (figured it was bubba uped, long throttel cable, ex man gaskets and bolts, rocker arm bolt, valve cover gaskets, oil filter, oil sump washers, pickup tube o-ring.

I'll post pictures ASAP, been looking for just this truck for over a year, 8600 GVW crew cab short bed, 4WD, full floater rear, 4L80E. Need it to haul my trailers for the farm, will put overloads on it once it runs.

Want to keep the original cruise, HVAC, gauges as much as possible. Gonna send the PCM to LT1 swap for programing once I get all the parts together. Right now got 4 square and 4 round coils, so trying to match that up. The doners a 03, got blue green harness and the corect PCM for DBC conversion.

Pondering the AC compressor right now, Looking at the options, have the 03 mount, no compressor, have a fairly new 99 compressor but haven's found a mount kit for it yet.
