Looks like your problem might be with the push button switch.It's a common failure point,evidently some soldered joints separate.Try a You Tube search,should be some info there.

Update: just got back from the junkyard with two actuators and a 4WD switch. I figure the odds are in my favor that one of the actuators will work. I don't think it is in the switch because the actuator pigtail is getting power as soon as the switch is pressed, but I grabbed another just in case. Letting the truck cool, I will let you guys know what I find out later.
