Well I dunno, but I busted my Rolex open with the vice, and sure enough ... Looks nothing like it ! I think you might of been guessing =)Is it held in with a spring like in a watch?

Yes, that is what I seen myself doing if I started prying on it, old sun baked plastic don't respond well to that. I still have found no one that has taken one apart. Anyway, I got done what I needed to do, I got some color on it without getting paint on anything else.I broke mine taking it off. I tried prying it over to one side, but one of the plastic pegs broke anyways. Even after removing it (by breaking) I still don't see any logical way to remove that part.
