Hey guys/gals I'm trying to get everything figured out so I can start purchasing parts for my rebuild and there's something I can't seem to find a FOR SURE answer to. What options do I have to convert my 5 lug to a 6 lug. It's a 1989 GMC C1500 RCSB with all stock brakes and axles.

I think you will also have to buy some newer spindles, Early 2wd's used a narrow spindle that takes a thinner rotor, all the 2500LD 2WD rotor's are the thicker size.

not sure what year they changed, i think 1990 or 1991.

For the rear, either a 4x4 axle or a 2500LD 2WD axle, with your truck being lowered, i would find a 2500LD 2WD axle, they are the same width as you current axle but are a 14 Bolt SF with 6-Lug.

a 4x4 axle, 10 or 14 bolt is 3" wider, so 1.5" either side.

Okay so can I swap my spindle to a 91+ spindle and then use K1500 brake rotors?
