It's a 5.7 / 4l80e ......Hate to tear apart a truck that's totally rust free with such low mileage but I would love to do a 8.1 or LS swap

I say keep the 5.7 until something happens orrr take it out and send it my way, ha. But reality keep it then once something gives then swap it out if your needing the extra power

An 8.1L would be awesome. Even a 6.0L with a few mods would be a lot more power than the 350 and not as big of a guzzler as the 8.1L. My dad had a 2000 K2500 CCSB with a 454/4L80E and it would get 9-10 MPG whether empty or towing a horse trailer.
