Unless Windows 8 is just that much different than 7 and XP. You can change where it lands. Just delete Bing from your computer altogether and set your default browser as Firefox (personal fave) or Google Chrome or whatever. Search "remove bing" and that might help too. I had the same problem once. I friggin hate it so that was what I did.
