Hey guys just wondering what small block motor mods. You have done. Tbi or vortec and how much power
Your now putting out?

11:1 6" rod 383, Assault racing aluminum heads ported by Lloyd Elliot, 1.7 full roller rockers, 232/244 Lunati roller cam, Rhoads lifters, ported mercruiser MPI dual plane intake, 1,200 cfm 4 bbl throttle body, 4" air intake, Thorley Tri-Y headers, dual 3" exhaust and high flow cats to the dual 3" in/ single 4" out muffler. ~525 hp and the same torque.

It is Vortec based but has the EFI connection 24x system and a LS PCM.

Ancient aluminum Trick Flow heads on top of a stock Vortec 5.7L short-block. ZZ4 intake manifold with EGR and TBI adapters, and stock TBI unit. Ancient Edelbrock shorty headers, monolithic cat, 3" cat-back exhaust.

Never been dyno'd. No idea on power output.

Made 1235-1240hp to the tire on the dyno.

Sorry i couldnt resist... it is a "vortec" tho.
It went 4.9s in the 1/8th.

Everything else we been working on is no fun after that project.

Stock 5.7 TBI short block, Lunati 10120700 cam (still gotta pass emissions), 1.6 roller rockers, Summit Racing (made by Trick Flow) 162108 heads, Edelbrock 3704 intake bored to 48mm, bored to 46mm "Ultimate Mods" throttle body with 7.4L injectors, VFPR @15PSI, shorty headers, JBA mandrel bent Y pipe, Thunderbolt 3" high flow cat, 3" 3-chamber muffler, EBL Flash2 ECM with WBO2 sensor, stage 2 (600HP rated) 700r4 trans with 2300-2500 stall TC, Don't know how much HP/Torque (maybe 350HP?) but it's a lot more fun to drive.
