Ok so I tired searching before asking not much luck I have seen stuff for the vortec swap to ls.
I have a 89 with a 350 tbi I was going to build a old school motor like I have done a million times 70-80s style motor bored to a 355 and do a 292 cam some head work.
But after talking with a buddy I work with I want to go with a LS Swap.
What I have gathered so far is
Getting a motor out of a donor truck with wiring harness and computer. LS 5.3
Then the motor mount adapters
Having to repin the harness
Headers and exhaust
Cam swap
Aftermarket intake
Also going to Gear my rearend to a 3.73
Maybe a axle swap to a rear disk or do a rear disk conversion on mine
I was going to get my 700R4 Built
might also do a hydro boost conversion
Also have the motor tuned
Now what else do I need to look into or what have I missed
Any help would be much appreciated
Truck isn't going to be a race truck or anything. It will be my daily back and forth to work and to pull ever so often my s10 project drag truck.
