LMC Grilles

I don't actually need a grille, this is just something that's been bugging me every time I thumb through these catalogs. Why are their reproduction grilles so different around the emblems? Is it a copyright issue? Just curious because every time I look at them I think "WHY couldn't they just put that extra 1/4" of chrome on the top and bottom of the bowtie?" Link below for reference.

Also the GMC grilles have a lot more extra material floating around behind the letters.

I see what you're talking about. I believe that would bug me too... And to think, I was debating buying that bowtie grill......... not anymore, lol

I've always hated that. Most noticeably when people buy a paintable grill to color match. All of them are like this, not just LMC.
