JVC HU Help

I have a JVC KD-AHD69 head unit in my truck and it appears to be locked in demo mode.
None of the buttons on the front panel work and neither does the remote. It scrolls through the
colors and features on the display and plays the cd that is in it. If I plug in a USB drive it switches
to that and stays there. I've tried the reset several times as well as removing power for 30 mins.
I can switch faceplates with the one in my wife's car (same model) and the problems
moves to the car. JVC is no help and suggested sending it to an Auth Svc Center.
Anyone have any ideas? It's been a great unit for 2 yrs and would really like to fix it
instead of having to replace it.

Disconnect the battery and reconnect and see if it boots up in setup mode.

I had already tried that. Just tried again and no go.
I'm gonna try cleaning the contacts on the back of the removable face tomorrow.
We'll see if it helps.
