I am the type of guy that is always looking for the best upgrade with the least outlay of $$$, Here is a thread on LS1TECH.COM that I found when looking at the possibility of installing a 4L80E into one of my K1500's. It Is very Enlightening to say the least. get the strength of an 80 and the shift of a 60, does not kick out of lock up every time there is a slight letup on the throttle. that is a big truck thing, and light trucks and cars don't really need it, so here is the thread: http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/automatic-transmission/1181364-4l80-tune-no-longer-required.html the post also gets into details about the ECM side of things, hopes this helps someone out I have also sent the author a PM asking for the rest of his info??
