Lots of fisherman use WD40 on fishing lures...

I watched a demonstration our Wurth guy did, he took WD40, PB Blaster and Rost-Off, stood 3 bolts up (head up), sprayed a puddle of each in to a puddle and set a bolt in each puddle...

WD40 20 minutes later dd nothing, PB blaster was 1/3 of the way up the bolt and Rost Off was all the way up just under the head of the bolt.

PB and Rost off creep down the threads of fasteners and dissolve rust corrosion allowing you to crack a fastener loose easier.

I still use PB blaster on stuff because usually I run out of Rost Off.

WD40 is my last choice. I usually soak my door jams with it 1. to help with squeaks, 2. because I like how it smells. 3. because there is always at least half a can within arms reach.
