I need help with my rpo codes

I was looking at the rpo codes on my truck today and i dont know if this is correct but here L31 : 409 CID V8 400HP (SPECIAL HIGH PERFORMANCE-SOLID LIFTER CAM) but inside the hood it says 5.7. I need some help please!

the L31 code you are talking about is WAY back from the early-mid '60s, 409's were a first generation big block engine that was produced from 1961-1965, it was a great performer and popular engine from that time period, the beach boys even wrote a song about it called '409'....but thats not even remotely what you have.

the current L31 RPO code refers to a 5.7L vortec 350 gen1E small block, used in various 96-2000 GMT400 full size trucks. its a port injected, hydraulic roller engine that put out 255hp and 330ft-lbs of torque from the factory.

Do you by chance k ow a website that has the current rpo codes, because there is some in my truck that are not on the list that i have.
