Pretty sure it’s solved guys!! Had a hunch and finally yanked out the new replaced fuel regulator diaphragm even though fuel gauge was reading good even under load, pulled it out and thing was worn out like you wouldn’t believe, warrantied for a new one and is running way better. Best part is in the irony of ironies when I went to test fuel pressure with new one, the gauge stopped working.

well good you found the problem,. think people might have been mis led when u said you put on a rebuilt tbi,.
Now the diaphram is bad,.
Anyway i'll probably catch some flak but i shim my spring really tight,. with a nut or something,. i've no idea truthfully what it makes the fuel pressure but it wakes up the three tbi trucks i have had over the years,.
tbi has a return line,.. it works for me YRMV

Worn timing chain? Check the timing. If it fluctuates it is likely the chain.
