On a C1500? 4", stock springs, and carry practically nothing in the bed.

Notch the frame, notch the bed do a 4/6 and you will be happier in the long run.

There is a brace that is directly above the rear axle. Notching the frame and that brace gives a ton of clearance and it is much easier than dealing with the spring mounts on a 2/4.
