How larger tires wear out the suspension

So since the difference between 36x15.50r20 and 37x13.50 isn't going to be to noticeable, I guess moving up to 38x15.50r20 would be ok, since it's and extra 7 pounds. And those that think the weight for the extra width seems odd, those numbers come straight from mickey t's website, although I agree I figured it'd be more.

I think if your wanting to run any of those tires, the short story is you should expect, and be willing to replace front end components regularly. And upping to a 38x15.5 is a big deal. Not only by which what we already discussed, but your now in the realm of imploding your rear-end (37s too). Gears alone aren't enough - you should be looking at a 14b.

14 bolt will be what the 4.88s will be going into. I knew it wouldn't be able to handle the 38s and my 383 lol

It's not always just the bigger tires playing into it. The offset of the wheel is another big factor, the farther away you move the hub from the center of the wheel the more stress is applied to the suspension. Especially the upper bushings and wheel bearings.

Alright guys thanks for all the answers. I've decided to go with the 37x13.50 vs the 38x15.50 for the less weight and width.
