Hot Rod Black

I'd like to have my black 1998 C1500 painted a satin black and I noticed a few companies offer a single stage "hot rod black". I think it looks cool but I was wondering if any one here has experience with it.

Contact Russel Mitchell at Exile Cycles,I think he buys it by the 55gal drum.

I shot a chopper with single stage hot rod black. It sprayed just like clear coat. It's like any other paint job,it's all about the prep.

Buddy of mine just had his 69 GTS Dart hood sprayed. He said something like , you spray it, and it it what it is, no block sanding.

Thanks folks. My truck is really nice; it has the old "choo-choo" ground effects, low miles 2 owner truck. I think it would look dynamite in satin black.

It belonged to my wife's uncle, he was a cool cool old guy. I was invited to his estate auction and the truck was on flat tires all dusty dead battery under his shelter. No one had offered on it so I jumped on it, knowing he took care of his stuff. A new battery and pump the tires up and I drove her home.
