Hm290 swap to nv3500

What all would I need to do to swap from a hm290 to nv3500 been contemplating swapping it because the hm290 is damn near impossible to find around here where I'm at closest one I found is in Tennessee which is 350 miles away but my bell housing is destroyed thanks to my bad tranny mount lol I got a new one my tranny itself is good goes through all the gears it's just the bell housing just wondering how hard it is

They're pretty much different flavors of the same light duty 5 speed transmission. It *should* just swap right over. If you're going 350 miles to get it.. be sure it's correct for your driveline arrangement (2wd for 2wd, 4wd for 4wd...)

You also might wait for someone else that's tried it before making the trip. I don't see any issues but I haven't replaced any of those light duty 5 speeds myself.

I got locked out my account lol the truck is 4x4 it’s actually in decent shape the frame is solid and the body is solid there’s no rust on it I’ll post pictures of it
