Help please (whiper/signal switch)

Long story short. Bought the truck few months back, wipers never really worked rite, would stop when shut off mid windshield and I would have to twist the switch just rite to get them to lay where they were sopposed to. Also the directional would stick up when turning right and I would have to hold it down to turn left. Now I have to hold it bothways when I want a directional.
Is it the switch/lever or the part on the colom?

I would GUESS that MAYBE you need a new turn signal switch/canceling cam. Not too difficult to replace, and not real expensive...Just an idea.

I think I need the same thing. No issues with the wipers but the turn signals dont work unless I move the switch manually up/down.

on the 96 up it is a one piece unit held on by torx screws its called a combination switch
