Hazard switch in 96 1500

My hazard switch went inop, it pushes down about 1/8" but doesn't activate any lamps or even click. I see that GM and Doorman make a drop in module that doesn't require pulling the multi switch but I'm not sure if it is compatible with this truck. Anyone have experience with this?

When mine broke, I had to replace the whole multi function. $75 from the salvage yard. It was a project. Remove the steering wheel, disconnect the harness down under the dash ect etc

Check out this video.Be sure to reinstall the steering column covers before inserting the new switch assembly.I had to replace mine about six months ago,got a replacement from Pick-A-Part.
