going to pick up an old truck

i am going to be going to pick up an older truck soon. its a 95 c1500 with a 4.3 and a 5 speed. it has 250,000 miles on it. i know a failure is a possibility. i am thinking about haveing extra parts for the trip. im thinking

water pump
alternator
distributor
wires
belt and hoses maybe
maybe some sensors

what are some things you guys would recommend to have on hand for a 500 mile trip. i don't mind some of the extra stuff cause it looks like some of the same stuff fits my 93 gmc 2500. (not everything obviously) tia

Coolant temperature sensor for sure

Maybe a thermostat and a couple gallons of coolant.Paperclip & a list of DTCs.
