Gear swap prices?

Hey guys, i have a 4x4 1500 with the 3.42 gears, i bought the truck to pull a trailer fairly often, and i've been thinking about swapping to a 3.73 or even a 4.10, how much would it roughly cost to get them put in at a shop? i have no idea how to go about swapping gears lol

or would it be cheaper to just go ahead and swap the entire front and rearend if i happen to find a truck with the 373s already for parts?

It'll likely cost you around $1500- $2000 for gears and installation, so I would recommend reading up on gear swaps and going through some how-to's before you commit to taking it to a shop. What's your current tire size?

current tire size is 16 265 75s, i've done rearend swaps before, i've just never changed the actual gears, if you have any links handy that'd be awesome

You can get the gears on ebay from Motive for about $220.

you would be better off swapping in axles/front diff, setting up gears in that front diff is a huge pain
