What are the steps to replacing the seal where the front driveshaft hooks to the transfer case on a K1500 1997? Mine is leaking and am not sure about the steps to replace, it is torques or is like a rear end where there is a crush sleeve.

According to ALLDATA after removing the yoke just pry the seal out, clean the housing then install a new seal.Applies to a selectable transfer case, automatic is different.

Probably best to know exactly what TC you have.On the rear of the TC should be a round plate about two inches in Dia.,on it will be the identifying number, like this
